An Investment for Eternity: The Genesis Center

Go Nigeria is a 501c3 non-profit corporation.  All gifts made in the U.S. are tax deductible.

2009-2010 Orphanage Building Campaign:  There are literally thousands of orphans in Nigeria who we could help if only we had room for them.  We currently serve some 400 orphans and needy children in Nigeria, but we want to double that number over the next few years.  So we are initiating a $2 million building campaign for a major orphanage and educational center and to repair and complete our current Care Centers throughout Nigeria.

Model Community:  Our plan is to purchase more land at the site of our Genesis Farms location (about 30 minutes outside of Jos, Nigeria) and build an orphanage (The Genesis Center) there for boys and girls, complete with classrooms, kitchen and dining hall, offices, greenhouses, and staff and visitor quarters.  Our kids will live in a safe, secure location, receive a much higher level of education than the government schools they currently attend, and also be able to work on the Genesis Farms, which will in time will support the operations of The Genesis Center.

Will You Help?  Would you consider helping us build this lasting legacy in Nigeria?  Below is a breakdown of our needs.  We hope those of you who are able will consider making a major gift.  Please contact Rick Whittlesey or Peter Fretheim if you would like to discuss this project in greater detail.

How You Can Help:
We understand that times in the U.S. are relatively tough right now, but our U.S. unemployment rate would have to increase 8 times over to match Nigeria’s current rate of 65%.  Every size gift helps, but please consider donating funds, either on your own or through a collective effort from your company, your colleagues, or your church group.  Go Nigeria can also accept gifts of securities through its account at Vanguard Mutual Fund Company.

Special thanks to our 2009 Go Nigeria Sponsor:  THE ANNUITAS GROUP
